This Hispanic Broadcaster Just Set A New COO

    The owner and operator of 29 radio stations targeting Spanish-language consumers in California and Reno, Nevada has set a new Chief Operating Officer. Joshua Mednick  takes the role at this Oxnard, Calif-based privately held broadcast company after serving as EVP for  Casa Media Partners , an owner of seven Spanish-language radio stations across the western U.S. The company Mednick is joining is  Lazer Broadcasting , headed by President  Alfredo Plascencia.  “As the company’s COO, I work with the talented and successful group of proven professionals Lazer Broadcasting has assembled over the last 25 years to better serve the communities in which we operate, provide innovative solutions for our clients and help guide the future growth of the company,” Mednick said by way of his updated LinkedIn profile. Lazer operates four Spanish-language networks heard across its O&Os: Regional Mexican “Radio Lazer”, its signature format tied to the company’s first radio station, KXLM-FM 102.9 in Oxnard, which signed on in August 1991; Classic Regional Mexican “La Mejor”; Ranchera “La Mexicana,” and Spanish Adult Contemporary “Latino.”     Before joining Casa, Mednick served as the VP/Sales for the Clear Channel Media + Entertainment cluster in New Orleans, a role he took in December 2011
